The chewing surfaces of molars can have narrow grooves that trap plaque. A fissure sealant flows into these grooves and sets into a protective coating.
Quick, simple and needle-free
The tooth is cleaned, prepared and kept dry while the sealant is placed. The process is usually quick and does not require drilling or local anaesthetic.
We check sealants at routine visits and can repair or replace them if wear develops over time.
